Vitamins help in growth and development of our body. They also help in body functioning.

Vitamin deficiency can lead to many deseases, called vitamin deficiency diseases.

There are of two types Fat soluble and Water soluble. There are total 13 Vitamins, 9 Water Soluble and 4 Fat soluble

  • Vitamin B1 – Thiamine
  • Vitamin B2 – Riboflavin
  • Vitamin B3 – Niacin, Niacinamide
  • Vitamin B5 – Pantothenic acid
  • Vitamin B6 – Pyridoxine
  • Vitamin B7/H – Biotin
  • Vitamin B9 – Folic acid
  • Vitamin B12 – Cobalamin
  • Vitamin C – Ascorbic acid

Fat-soluble

  • Vitamin A – Retinoids
  • Vitamin D – Calciferol
  • Vitamin E – Tocopherols, Tocotrienols
  • Vitamin K – Phylloquinone, Menaquinones
